After 40+ years of camping in a tent we made the plunge last summer and purchased a new RPod 171.  We did a lot of looking and research and found the RPod to be the perfect option for ourselves and our little dog Ed (Brussels Griffon/Chihuahua).  Ease of towing and set up were  important to us and it has the features and amenities we desired.  Several trips last summer moved us out of the newbie category and we are looking forward to warmer weather so we can get back at it!

Glad to have you graduating from the newbie category!!

So happy that you're that far in and still enjoy the R-Pod experience.

Our first season was short and we can't wait to start our 2nd. We are going into PM and Mod mode for 4 weeks starting March 1st and then let the camping begin! Thumbs Up

Hi EdPod and welcome. I made that same plunge after decades of tent camping and backpacking. Although I had some conflict about trailer camping being truly a "back to nature" experience, I must say after one season that owning an R Pod is the best of both worlds.

I am pretty new to this forum also (less than a year) but I think you will find that the members are so polite, helpful and the information you can obtain here is invaluable.

Enjoy your R Pod, I know Missy and I love ours.
