Calendar Event: No power to outlets Posted: 21 Sep 2014 at 7:14pm |
Out on our fist trip with the rpod and we found that none of our outlets work. They did work prior to the trip, at least the one to the tv did. Everything else works incl water beater, pump, fridge... All fuses are ok, flipped all breakers. Still nothing to the outlets. Any ideas?

See my post just after yours, it sounds pretty similar. I will be watching responses you get and will send any information I get.

Hit the reset button on your GFI outlet in your Pod, it has probably tripped.

So if the gfi is tripped it shuts off power to all the outlets in the pod? The gfi won't reset, so I'm guessing the wiring to it jarred loose while driving.

all of the outlets that are wired past the GFCI are protected by it so yes it will often shut off most if not all of a Pod's outlets, different Pods are wired differently and i've even see similar models wired differently.
if it won't reset the outlet itself could need replacing.

You should be able to tell about the GFI outlet. It lights up when tripped, and the button pops out. Perhaps a dumb point, but not everyone realizes that the outlets don't work unless you're hooked up to shore power. I think I've seen newbies who think the battery will power the 120v outlets.
The GFI theoretically trips for a reason. Some of them are sensitive enough to flip if you think about them. Anyway, the point is you might have a ground fault that you need to resolve. If you suspect the GFI, unplug everything you can find and try it again.

Not many plugs, I would look for a wire that came loose & grounded out
