Topic: Hinges for access panels Posted: 08 Jul 2014 at 4:45pm |
I want to add some hinges to the wooden access panels underneath the dinette seats on my R178 to make things easier to retrieve. Has anyone had success doing this with a particular type or size of hinge? If so, can you share what you did? Thanks,

Yes I have, I used I/2" plywood and self closing overlap cabinet hinges.

Marwayne, Thanks for sending the pic. I was thinking about adding the hinges to the plywood covers underneath the dinette cushions. Do you have a picture of that you can share?

Cool upgrade! I would love to do this with my 178. Storage must be a lot easier with these.

Marwayne, Thanks for sharing those pics! It looks really cool. I'm going to try and do that on my R178.
