On the road 177, the storage under the sink is really small. Anyone mod that area to get more storage?

Remove the panels. We fit the kitchen cleaning supplies, small garbage can, cutting boards and flat griddle under there. Just don't shove stuff back into the hoses.

markus, we have a 2012 177. We removed the panels under the sink, and I found a small plastic tub, it just fit over the relay switch and I notched out the ends for the wires to run, and also to let air flow through. I also put an outside shower there with the hoses fitting in that under sink area. You can store anything you want down there, with the panels gone you have a LOT of room.

When we removed the panel that is there under the sink during our de-winterizing process, just to make sure everything looked OK, we were amazed at how much space there is under there! We just left the back panel off and found that three of these fit in nicely: http://www.sterilite.com/SelectProduct.html?id=473&view=0&picture=1&tab=Specifications&ProductCategory=250§ion=1
One high in the very back, and two high in front of it. THEN, there is still room for cereal boxes in front of those, along with all of our plates to the right of that. Before that, all that fit there were our plates (in a vertical storage caddy). Absolutely amazing how much more storage this simple mod made! As the posters above mention, you just need to be mindful of the pipes, tubes, and wires under there, but definitely a highly recommended change.

I just posted some pictures of my under sink mod here: http://www.rpod-owners.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4926&KW=sink+storage&PID=47879&title=177-under-sink-dinette-space-valance-lights#47879
Fairly easy to do and reclaims tons of space.

I'm a new trailer owner, modifying as I go. (We never know what we need until it isn't there.) My wife and I are planning a long road trip In mid-Aug. We are also bringing our three greyhounds w/ us. We don't plan on leaving our dogs alone for an extended period of time, one hour tops.
For the most part, we'll be staying in RV parks. However we will be dry camping a few days. Is there a way to switch the A/C unit to gas? |

Only option is to run the A/C with a generator. The quietest options are the new inverter-generators, old-style generators are very loud. While the fridge can run from LPG, and the furnace runs on LPG, the A/C is electric-only.
Keep in mind that depending on where you camp they may have generator restrictions.
