Topic: Hi from WA...Price? Posted: 23 Mar 2014 at 12:19pm |
I recommend Blue dog RV very highly. I purchased my 177 at their Post Falls, Id. location, but they have other locations that are probably closer to you. Kennewick has one, and Portland. Check their web site. You will only find new Hood Rivers at dealers in the western states. Good luck!

I'm in Seattle and bought my r Pod last year. I searched craigslist and found a big variety in prices between new and used. The local dealer P......o RV had the highest prices of all. I started prices shopping for new and found the best prices in Oregon and Idaho. I was ready to spring on a loaded 170 in Oregon. It was $500 more but half the trip time. I emailed the sales person at Blue Dog RV in Post Falls, ID, and told them I was going to Oregon and within 10 minutes they called me and knocked $1000 off their last offer, so it ended up $1500 below the Oregon price. They also offered more options like dual batteries and an in store credit. I ended up paying $14,500. It was well worth one night in a motel in Spokane for this lower price. We couldn't be more happy with the r Pod and are planning our next trip to Forks.

I also dealt with Lydia at Blue Dog RV and got my 177 Hood River Edition for $14,500.

Well we journeyed to Post Falls, ID on Saturday and picked up our new Rpod 177. Lydia, our sales person, on the right was great. We are now podders. Slept at a state park on the way back home. Everything we wanted. Used my truck to bring the Rpod home. I will post more about the experience later.

A fine looking setup for sure. That dealer seems to be the "Couch's of the West Coast"

Agreed, however if you want a Hood River Edition - west coast factory, Couch's can't provide one. They will deliver to the West coast for small $3200 fee. Using their prices to dicker may work against you if you are on the west coast, as you are not comparing apples to apples and your dealer knows how the HRE has more bells and whistles. The HRE has bigger wheels, more of an off-road tire, risers, diamond plate in the wheel-wells and more. If I was an east coaster, I'd drive there and get one if my dickering with their price at a local or semi-local dealer couldn't get me close. I'm seeing people sharing prices here and working it with dealers and it seems to be working. I think the price Capn'Cray was helped by the input of people here who shared prices. Not a humble opinion, I'm not humble!

Is $15950 for iPod 178 Hood River edition with free weight distributor and sway control and no dealer prep a fair price?
