Topic: riser installation Posted: 24 Nov 2013 at 12:14pm |
Goose, I think you might be right about the two axles using different riser kits. When I ordered from FR, Susan was only interested in the VIN for the trailer. FR can tell from the VIN which kit is appropriate for every R-Pod made. But, it wouldn't hurt to give them the name of the axle manufacturer, too.

w4bgbob, check your axle to see if it is a Dexter axle or a Lippert axle. Seeing how you are in Tenn. and chances are that your POD was made in Indiana, your axle maybe a Dexter axle. I am not sure if the risers are the same for both axles, someone else might be able to answer that. The tag for the axle manufacturer is on the passenger side of the axle just inside from the hub. ground clearance Posted: 16 Aug 2013 at 3:55pm | I just finished installing my riser kits this morning,2 1/2 hrs tools put away and cleaned up. I`m kinda slow. the one thing i did that I haven`t heared any one talk about is making sure the axle get back to the same position for alignment purposes. I made a reference mark and used a square,it didn`t go back on it`s own. all in all it was a pretty easy job. Moe |

Order through your dealer if you want them installed. If you plan to do it yourself, contact FR directly and they will ship them to you. Be sure to have your pod's VIN ready before you call.

Anyone have any experience with the Lippert's risers and a 2014 R Pod177 or the 177 in general? I guess in short will they work with this model of R Pod im finding that the additional hieght would be desireable since I have already damaged one of the rear jacks pulling up an incline to get into a service station lot.

My kit came with a one page instruction sheet, but I discarded it. If you call your contact from FR I am sure they will send you a copy.

We ordered the risers from forest river for our 2012 177. They came, but no instructions to install them. How and where? Is there a printed list anywhere?
