After my first podding weekend, I wanted a better solution for "pantry" items, rather than the plastic tub I either slid under the bed or put in the storage under the dinette seats.  I found this closet organizer that I hung on the bathroom door that works so well!  It folds flat when not in use, and it provided MORE than enough room for food and other paper/plastic items.  It's designed to hang from a closet rod (hooks on the top are half way between the front and back), so you have to actually hang it on a hanger that has a swivel hook, and hang the hanger on the bathroom door.  There was plenty of room to stand at the kitchen sink or move back and forth from the bed area (for models with a slide-out).  Everything was so easily accessible.  It really made a wonderful difference.  Podded at Wasatch Mountain State Park this weekend; it was an awesome fall camping trip!  Made the mistake of not closing one of the exterior rear storage doors and couldn't understand why I was SO COLD the first night, but the second night was toasty warm when I remedied the problem.  Also forgot to bring in the garbage can the second night - which led to feeding half a bologna and cheese sandwich to a VERY large raccoon!  I seem to learn a lesson or two each trip out.  Sigh.  (Sorry this picture is too long; you should be able to scroll down to see the entire picture, though…)

LOL!!

The first generation Pods came with nearly the exact same thing, with a closet rod that lived in the shower.. Nearly every person who had one threw it away within 10 minutes of getting the pod home. We still have ours in the basement with other unused/removed podparts..

And.. last dog walk of the evening should include a stop at the dumpster.. Wink

That's pretty funny!  Did the one that came with the pod hang on the inside or outside of the bathroom door?  I just loved using this; it was so much easier to store and access food.  It would certainly be too crowded to hang it inside the bathroom, but it wasn't in the way hanging it outside.  I had already winterized the pod, so I didn't even use the bathroom this trip.

A dog walk is a good time to remove trash; I don't think I'll forget again.  And my lazy dog didn't even stir while the raccoon made quite a bit of noise getting to the bologna.  I think I wore him out with the hiking earlier that day...

It did in fact hang in the bathroom. My guess is, that when using the bathroom, you set it on the bed or something.. Never tried to camp with it.. it is a bright plastic material.. maybe it's water proof and you were supposed to just slide it over the toilet when under the shower..

I "filed" mine away that first day we brought the Pod home.
