Private vs Public Campgrounds

We really like the KOA's and have been to numerous one from Vermont to Sugarloaf Key, Florida. The have a set standard that they make all the parks live up to. Presently we are at the KOA on Cape Hatteras and think we have found a piece of heaven!!We have been to several privately owned ones and don't feel they match the KOA's. We are going to start hitting some of the Stae Parks in Vermont and NH, but really like the full hook-ups and I must admit it.....the Cable tv.

	Tried to figure out if there was a polling option on the forum but couldn't find one, so I'll just throw out the question: Which do you prefer and why: Private Campgrounds or Public Campgrounds (SP's & NP's) We've always done our tent camping in SP's & NP's and lean towards that for our Podding adventures in the future, especially since the public campgrounds here in the Carolina's are for the most part pretty nice. But I notice that many of you stay in public campgrounds, so color me curious.
