Topic: About to purchase 176T Posted: 30 Jul 2012 at 4:32pm |
we just found out that forest river is actually encouraging people to buy locally because they are having a lot of problems with these types of dealer specifically this one in Ohio because there is no prep work no maintenance plan for anything they actually devoted the entire back page of the brochure to inform people of this. for us that is important we prefer to have someone local so if there's a problem we know it is taken care of under our warranty. definitely worth $2k to us :-)

Try www.couchsrvnation.com I am not pushing Couchs, it is just where we got ours. There are other dealers who should be able to match their price or come close. With a quote in hand, just visit your local dealer and you should be able to get a better price even if they can not match the on-line quote.

We have a 2013 176T with everything but the bike rack.We bought ours in Calgary,Alberta and paid a few thousand more than you did.Other dealers in Alberta were even higher by a couple of thousand. For Canada that is a great price, but I don't know what the USA prices are.I would buy local. If any problems arise, it is much easier to have a local dealer.

You are getting screwed! Check with some of the on-line dealers for a much better price. We got ours at Couches in Ohio for about $6,000 less than our local dealer. Ours came with all options including the R-Dome and Pod cover. If you want to use a local dealer, show them what some other dealers will charge and use this to negotiate a better price.

That's a way smaller model. This one has a built in entertainment center , bunk beds, a slide to increase kitchen size. And we also added all the extras...CD/DVD/radio, bike rack etc etc. It appears the price of the 171 is still in the 12k range. I'm pretty sure this is a good price, but was just hoping someone might actually have the exact model and share with us :-)
