Jim and Diane:
We just bought a 2011 Rpod 177 and would like to know if there is a campground near the north side of Torch Lake. We know some people who live between Central Lake and Eastport.

Indeed there is! It is called Barnes Park (in Antrim County) located at the intersection of US-31 and M-88 in Eastport. A wonderful park with a fantastic sandy beach on Lake Michigan. Let us know when you are in the area. We are leaving this Friday for the r-pod Round-up near Port Huron this weekend. There have been 1 or 2 cancellations so there still may be a spot open if you have this weekend open; although it is short notice. Location is Lakeport State Park on Lake Huron.

We'll have to plan to attend an rpod group some other time. Sounds like fun! Do you take anything special for these events? My husband had a very busy week setting up and taking down ag equip. at the MSU show. Hopefully he won't be working next summer!!!
