Topic: Porch light Posted: 22 May 2012 at 12:49pm |
On our last trip I flipped on the outside light and nothing happened. I only have used it to walk the dogs after dark, and did miss the light for the rest of the trip.
Today I decided to replace the bulb, and found no apparent way to get the amber cover off to get to the bulb. HELP!!
Thanks,
Keith

Stand on a small step stool so that you are looking right at the light on the bottom, place a small screwdriver in between the lense cover and the base and gently pry up a little bit, you should see one tab in the middle of the lense, gently pry up until the tab clears the base and remove the lense cover. Should have two tabs on the top. Goose

Thanks Goose! Lens removed, bulb changed, works like a new one! No hammer needed.
Life is good. Next trip is to Washington Island in June, and we are almost ready. Just load on the food and clothes, gas up the TV and head north.

BTW, last trip I couldn't get any TV and there was a station in the town where we were staying. I took a look at the hookups today and found the antenna cable disconnected in the box that holds up the TV. I don't recall unplugging it, so I have no idea what happened. We will have some TV on our next trip!

No sense of adventure. Should have used the hammer. Glad you got it fixed. Safe Travels.

Hammer is the wrong tool for TV problems. That's chainsaw territory there.. everybody knows that..
