Traded in our 16-year-old Nash yesterday for a '26 RP 171. Walk through was so-so...nice guy but not a tech. Got home to find the cargo lights don't go off, furnace won't go on, there's no way to turn the bathroom fan on and no visible fuse/breaker box. I am guessing the latter is under the dinette bench with the water pump is. Argh!
Always remember to do your own thinking!

Welcome to the Club! You have an early introduction to the poor quality assurance of Forest River products. Please consider making these your Dealer’s problems, as well as expressing to them how poorly they performed their own piece.

Scroll to the bottom and there is a video for the 2025 RPod 171. I can't imagine that there are many changes. Also, look under the refrigerator for the power panel. There should be a flip-down cover on it that will give you access to the fuses and breakers.

As for the bathroom fan, there should be two push-buttons on one corner on the same side as the knob that raises/lowers the lid. One turns the fan on and controls speed, and the other turns it off. That is, if the fan is the same model that is shown in the video.

As for the furnace, do you have a full propane tank and is the valve turned on? Does the stove light? And just in case it was not explained to you, the tankless heater runs on the principle that water flow is required before the water heater will start heating water. There is no tank, so there is no hot water stored. It is on-demand.

The dealer should have done a much better job of showing you the features of the trailer and how to make it work. I don't know about some of the issues such as the cargo light(s). There must be a switch on the light fixture in there or a switch somewhere that controls them. If you are not too far from the dealer, I would recommend going back there and having the issues fixed and/or them doing a proper job of showing you the trailer.

Other than that, welcome and congratulations on your new R-Pod. I hope you have many fun adventures and make many great memories with it.

I have a 2021 R-Pod 171. All of the comments by Stephen are applicable to the 2025 based on the video and I believe 2026.

I am not familiar with the cargo LEDs. If they are round like the cabin LED lights, th have a small push button in the center to turn them on/off.

I recommend removing the screws holding the plywood dinette seat on the stove side. You will appreciate access to the water pump, and you will find there is additional space you can use for storage. I drilled a 1 inch “finger” hole in both plywood seats to make it easy to lift up to gain access to these storage areas.

Good luck with your new 171!
