I have an RP-190 with Samlex solar. it states the SCC-30ab is compatible with "lead-acid drop in replacement" lithium. I can't find anything explaining exactly what this means. I purchased a Renogy Lithium Phosphate battery. Assuming this qualifies, I am trying to figure out how to configure the SCC-30ab controller. It looks like there are supposed to be DIP switches, I assume on the back. Question 1 - is my Renogy Lithium battery compatible. Question 2 - am I correct I need to change DIP switches on the back of the controller. Question 3 - can someone advise what settings should be configured?
NOTE: I did find a later reference in the manual titled "Lithium Battery Charging" stating the settings should be ON-ON-ON for a 14.4v absorption rate (matching Renogy). However, on the diagram that setting is also shown as being for 8-N-CAD with a 16.0 absorption rate. Now I am totally confused.

Many, if not most LFP batteries come with a built-in BMS, which manages the actual charging to what the battery can tolerate. I would (1) check with Forrest River about the charger, and (2) Verify your Renogy battery has the built-in BMS.

The Renogy batteries do come with built-in BMS. I have my doubts about the Samlex controller. I have a Renogy one. It does not do a float charge for the LiFePO4 battery profile, with the instructions stating that it isn't needed.
