No that make sense. I'm still weary on pulling the trigger on an EV, I do 500-1000 miles per week for my job so sitting for two hours waiting to charge if I'm on a long work road trip doesn't sound appealing. Never mind the fact that pulling the pod will destroy the mileage. A normal 5 hour r-pod trip with the gas truck may take 2-3 times as long with the current EV batteries.

Likewise...the POD is a great trailer. It is our first trailer, bought it at an estate auction, and have really enjoyed it. The previous owners had only used it three times. I agree: compared with tent camping, it is luxurious. My only complaint is having to climb over each other for the 3 am peeps.

We went from tent camping to an rpod . Feels like we're glamping in luxury now.

That was one of the reasons we got the Sonoma. It's made in CA, only about 4 or 5 hours away from the dealer's location. We really wanted a Vista Cruiser, but the shipping made it several thousand more. rPods here are also very pricey, despite the Oregon factory. Not far from where I live a 2017 rPod 179 has an asking price of $19,000. They'll probably get it or will be real close.
So for the long term future, we'll stick with our F-150 and the FR Sonoma.

Yah LA did well, particularly considering he’s a West Coaster and trailers typically go for more there due to shipping costs.

Lostagain, you got a very good deal on your 172 on both ends, purchase and selling price! I paid $12,000 for a brand new 177 in January 2011 and it came without A/C, microwave/convection oven, or entertainment system. It did come with a 12v battery however and 2 Tire King (china) tires that never failed.

The 172 was used; the Sonoma, new.

‘Cept they don’t really care what we peasants think. They are only out to impress each other.
Was that $9500 for a new or used rpod? I’m sure every owner on the forum hopes you’re right and the used trailer prices stay high for awhile. |
