Hi all,
I'm trying to figure out how to use the propane quick connect port on my 2017 R-Pod 178. It came pre-installed from the factory. I'm a bit confused because I've read a lot about how people have to delete the regulators on their portable grills and stoves because the quick connects always supply low pressure. However, next to my quick connect, which is on the front of my R-Pod, on the back part of the tongue, theres a sticker that says: "High Pressure Quick Disconnect: use with approved appliances only."

So why would the sticker say "high" pressure if the port is clearly in-line AFTER the trailer's regulator??

There are multiple types if propane regulators, so that generic warning tag is there to avoid manufacturer liability. The grill manufacturer will have a tag saying you have to use their regulator, for the same reason.

Read this: https://www.thebbqdepot.com/blog/lp-gas-regulators-101/

Since in practice your grill will probably only be able to run off one regulator you’ll have to decide which manufacturer’s label you want to ignore and take comfort in already knowing which one you won’t be able to sue successfully if you ever have a problem 😜 Or, you can just use the 1 lb grill cylinders and not worry about it.

I have a blackstone griddle, they actually make an elbow with quick connector that replaces the regulator/bottle adaptor so that you can just plug the griddle into the campers low pressure quick connect with a hose.
