Topic: CO2 Alarm Posted: 01 Jun 2020 at 9:47pm |
I have a 2016 RPod. First year with it and still trying to figure things out. Dealer basically gave me a 10 minute rundown... I'm hooked up to house power, after about an hour with nothing else on, just finished de-winterizing, my CO2 alarm is going off? I had to flick off the breaker then eventually just unplugged it. The battery is not hooked up. This happened last year on my first solo trip but at that point it was the battery not fully charged. Can anyone help? Thank you :)

That alarm will go off for a low battery for sure. It is also very sensitive to odors, like if you put your sneakers right next to it. I had one go off because I sprayed insect spray. Not sure why yours is buzzing

Hi, thanks but no stinky sneakers here. It's been sitting over the winter so hasn't been used. The battery is not hooked up as it's on house power.

It's actually a CO (Carbon Monoxide) alarm, not CO2 (Carbon Dioxide). Sorry, pet peeve, I am in industrial gases

Thanks TimK182G, Yes, you are correct, the CO alarm. Any suggestions other than my error :)

So I hear you TimK182G. One of my pet peeves (I have many) is starting a sentence with So.

The CO detectors/alarms (at least in my 179) is hard wired into the 12v system and I have had a couple false alarms and have found a reset button on the face of the CO detector. Good to ventilate the Pod.

Also forgot to mention in the previous posting that my detector is a CO/LP Gas detector. Still good to ventilate the Pod.

Hi Mcarter, No, it's hardwired in. It will be silent for about an hour then start the annoying beeping. All fuses are good. It's on house power, so not sure of issue. Just wanted to know if anyone else had this issue. If it continues, it will be removed.
