Can you give me the dimensions for the tall pantry type shelves? Also did you attach it by the slide out or on the slide out? I am always looking for ways to add storage.

Interesting looking battery monitor. I just upgraded my battery to LiFePO4 and as part of the new installation, put in a battery monitor. The face on mine is round. I am awaiting an extension cable that I need to be able to put it where I want it to be. The write up is in my mods (see link in signature). I like your shelves. but I could not get away with multiple shelves in the wardrobe. My wife like to hang things up in there. I did get one shelf in, just high enough to separate the hanging items from where she keeps her toiletries bag and other small items. I have not yet opted for solar. We have a generator as there are times I have needed the hgher power to run the AC, something that is not feasible with solar yet.

I'm a brand new (2 month) owner of a 179. The mods I have done are: Shelves in entry pantry, closet shelves, and added a battery monitor and on/off switch for the radio.
I'm rarely on hook-ups when I camp, and rely on my 90W solar panels, so the idea of the radio always on stand-by bothered me. I know it doesn't take that many amps/hour, but like my wife tells me, I'm obsessed with amps. Can't argue with that, either. The closet shelves were from a shelving unit from Home Depot I read about on this forum. Mike Stiles Los Osos, CA |

Installed a USB charging port today, I needed it for my bicycle lights and phone. I was happy to find one that matched my AC plugs.

Hmm. I have a 2016 East Coast 180. I installed risers and 15" Mudstar tires and have 20" to the bottom of the frame at the axle. I enjoy it with the extra height. No dragging in dips and I can even go mild off-roading without damage. |

Thank you tcj
That is exactly the information I was looking for. It explains a lot. The welding is “beefy” compared to the bolt on, thus alleviating future axel problem. Thanks again

Here's three photos of the risers on our 2018 Hood River Edition 180. The risers are a rectangular tube, 3" tall X 2" wide X 17" long. Wall thickness is 1/8". They are welded to the frame and to a bracket that is bolted to the Axle attachment brackets. There is also a 1.5' X 1.5" x 1/8" angle iron that is welded on connecting the fronts of the left and right side risers. It is probably best to call forest river to find out if they a sell risers to retro fit to your Rpod. I just lifted my 2020 RP-195, it measures 17 to the bottom of frame, and 22 to bottom of body (5 " frame). I notice that Forest River is selling them at that height now. I got a "first" build and originally the frame was 13 ish from ground and 18 to the body. Mostly I lifted it to get the drain tube away from the ground. It had 4 1/2 inches clearance before the lift. I did manage to get it about an inch higher, but even at 5 1/2 I was uncomfortable.

I remeasured my RPOD 179 and to body it is 18” but to the bottom of the frame it is 15”. My mistake on the previous measurement. Thanks for the info Although I am curious to find out if FR sells the same risers they use on the HRE. Is it welded in or bolted in?
