The converter has protection circuits and will shut down if it overheated or was overloaded. It's fine.
Just as a precaution, I would check the battery water levels....with heavy charge/discharge for that long it wont hurt to verify the levels.

Thanks . It’s not going to hurt the converter for it to be running so hard?
I should have checked the fridge display but never even thought that it could have been set for battery. |

Don't sweat it. The converter is well capable of supplying the refrigerator's power needs. Your battery is okay. At least you know you have a good converter. If you had not heard any fan noise, you would likely have been on battery power and before the morning you would have been hearing beeping from the refrigerator since the battery is inadequate to power the refrigerator by itself for very long.

Hey all,
Thought I’d ask a question for the rPod gurus. We got to Morro Dunes RV Park yesterday and I told my wife to switch the fridge from propane to 110 because we have full hookups. We noticed that the fan on the power converter ran off and on all night and it’s never done this before. Just now, Thursday evening, we saw that the fridge was running on battery instead of shore power. So the power converter was charging the battery all though the night and all of today. Is this going to kill my battery? Is this going to prematurely kill my converter? Should I worry that the fridge was accidentally set for battery for about 26 hours? My battery is a group 27 marine battery that is about a year and a half old. I try to run a trickle charger on the battery in my garage Avery couple of months to keep it maintained. Thanks in advance for the advice. Jeff |
