This si the final pic, if it works. 

Note the little tab on the angle bracket and look under your own R-Pod to make sure you DON'T have the same angle bracket design.

The picture is post-welding repair of junction of frame and riser.

+1 I am not seeing fresh weld in that photo. Maybe I don't know what I'm looking at?

Ok I went and looked at mine. The main square tubular frame is at the top of the picture, we are looking from the inside towards the outside, and that tab under the nut is welded to the frame...I think.

Like the others, I dont see a fresh weld, but I DO see a lot of rust. Did a weld fail or did a bolt fail, and how old is this trailer?

It's a 2015 model bought in spring of 2014. 

The bilateral fresh welds are not visible in the picture. They are between the top of the riser and the frame. If you want to see it, I'll be happy to post it, I've got one pic of the right side that also shows the bolts better, with the weld, too. It doesn't have all the bolts, but c'mon, who here thinks the bolts caused this??

It is very worrisome that this design is apparently not unique to my R-Pod. If this is a systematic problem, we've got to get the word out. I've put this into the NHTSA system. Ordinarily they wait for a pattern of trouble to arise but something tells me that in this case they will make an exception.

Since you are, so far, the ONLY person to have had this failure, or at least to have posted anywhere about it.. it isn't a "systemic problem".  Risers are used on many brands and models of trailers. like anything, they apparently can fail, but it sure must not happen often.

Furpod has sent me this message - "You now have at least 5 open threads about your axle issue. Please don't start or make any more."

Since several of these are merely because of limits in posting of pictures, I don't see where I am making any difficulties and this seems to be arbitrary. 

I love our R-Pod, and even within limits the r-dome, and regret very much that this situation has arisen. 

Whatever, for the forum the bottom line is - PLEASE CHECK YOUR ANGLE BRACKETS
