I just got my 2019 179 home, and the awning doesn't extend. It's the new power one, and not sure how to manually override that. Any help is greatly appreciated as the manual are... lacking at best.

As with anything electrical, first confirm that power is available by checking that the other loads/appliances are working. Then, check the fuses (for dc equipment) or the breakers (for ac equipment).

Fuses, switches, power...then call the dealer. That should have been checked or demonstrated to you at the dealer.

Check out this thread. See if the fuse is the problem with yours.

Exactly what is happening to me! Thank you! They did walk me thru the process and it worked at the dealership. It's not working now, which points fingers to that fuse. Will check it out!

well it WAS all fixed.. till we drove to the next adventure and BAM... blown fuse again! Called the service dept and they suggested using a higher amp fuse (20 to be exact) as it's a 'common' issue with the new power awnings. FYI! Will try it out and see if I can actually use my awning...

Does that indicate that the awning is binding or something? That would cause it to pull more amps. OTOH, maybe they undersized either the fuse, or the wiring or both.

the service guy at the RV center said he's run into this quite a bit (not sure why they don't swap out the 15 amps then!) and said they undersized with the new set up. The fuse doesn't have a place in the main box either and is in a red container kind of flopping around behind the panel. Like an afterthought... we are swapping out the 15 to 20 this weekend and will let ya all know how it goes!
