I carry two 12V batteries on my R190.  I literally have to STUFF them in the tray.  I actually need about 3 more inches.  Does anyone know who sells a decent battery tray for trailer tongues?

If you have a WDH, measure to see if and how those boxes will fit.  I finally got mine to fit like i want but it was a pain.  The brackets for the WDH bars complicate the box attachment to the frame if you want it to sit down between the outer A frame.

Northern Tool also carries several tongue boxes. For batteries in particular, I kind of like a plastic one they have.

I installed this battery box between the front wall and the propane tank and have been quite happy with it.

Added treated wood blocks to existing battery tray.

Attached battery box with large U bolts around tongue frame in front of box and one single carriage bolt through the wood block and into the box in the back of the box.

Installed original Group 27 batteries, battery cutoff switch, shunt for battery monitor, and MPPT solar controller.  Made a clear plastic cover for all the above as shown below.
