Well my mom and dad could have made that, except for the last one. We have pretty much done the same, except for the last one-just don't have time for tv. Just using good common sense and you can save by not bringing so much stuff that only adds clutter and takes up valuable space. Thanks David.

Eh...What can I say...it was a "slow news day" at the editorial desk of Rpod Owners. ![]() ![]() Personally, there is a big difference in how I would approach backpack camping vs. car/tent camping vs. RV camping. For instance, I would not put spices in plastic straws when RV camping. My trailer has it's own salt and pepper shakers that always stay there. That's kind of how it is with most everything. The only "packing" I do is groceries and clean clothes. I do like the theme of "multi-use" items. I always have 2-3 large "contractor" type trash bags, which can do a number of things: Rain poncho generator, lawn chair, firewood, etc. covers If the fridge were to die, I could put a bag of ice in one and turn the fridge into a cooler I like to think in terms of carrying things that might help me "MacGyver" a solution. |

In the past few years, I've really tried to adopt a minimalist lifestyle, taking many cues from ultralight thru-hikers (https://www.reddit.com/r/ultralight), digital nomads (https://www.reddit.com/r/digitalnomad), and one-bag travelers (https://www.reddit.com/r/onebag). Spending more than 4-hours in the R-Pod 171 with even a single guest (nevermind the two dogs!) has certainly lent itself well to fully appreciating the steps I've taken to minimize personal clutter and those items I require to feel comfortable.
