Just got back camping in WNC at Balsam, NC and sighted Pod in Cherokee. The only Pod we saw in our trip and it was in all places in the parking lot of the attraction (if you want to call it that) of Santa's Land! Ho Ho Ho!

Leo, I'm green with envy! LOL! Yum Yum nothing better then some red drum cooked out on the grill! Very glad you had success and a great time down in OBX. By chance were you casting out just beyond where the surf was breaking on the beach?

We headed up to the mountains and I caught a couple of small rainbow's (released) out of the little stream by our campground. It was just to cold to do allot of rock jumping through the streams. Hope to head out there this coming spring/summer and give the local streams a real work out.

Thanks Leo! I got a couple of hi-lo rigs that need to get wet! Been practicing a bit with a Shimano level wind (TR200G) on a 12 foot and 8 foot. Takes some practice, but I'm surprise how far I can chuck it. I'll keep the Daiwa spinner in the bag for the inevitable birds nest. Fun stuff!

Dave, I was! The beach behind KOA has a trench right off the beach and the drum love to cruise it going after the crabs and stuff. We did grill some up.......amazing!!

Fred,
My goal next year is to hit Assateague island for a few days before hitting Cape Hatteras, really want to fish and visit that area.

Leo,

I'm thinking you need one of those autonomous casting drones:)
