I'm starting to feel old....60 this year. My wife is younger tho' We went with the 180. The tiny bathroom wouldn't work for my wife. She is happy to have her "space to get ready" She didn't like the thought of stepping into the camper from the shower to dry off and get dressed etc. I have to say I like that part also.
We lay in bed to watch tv.

I also on occasion travel with a friend or my son(both of them in May) It gives them also a bit of privacy.

We are also in our 50's and just ordered a 179. We are a bit concerned about how tight the bathroom is, but we seldom dry camp and usually use the campground facilities. We did take a hard look at the 180, the deciding factor for us is we like to relax and watch tv before bedtime, and the dinette in the 180 did not have enough room for two adults to see the tv. The couch in the 179 is perfect for us.

Welcome to the group!! 50's here too! We are on our second pod second rpod, started in a 171 and moved up to the larger 179. Really like the large kitchen, extra room and storage.

We too are in our 50s. We spent a couple of years studying campers and then we finalized our wants to both the 179 and 180. We wanted the kitchen in the back and the more storage space of the 179 and that is what we purchased. Hindsight, I really wish that we would have gone with the 180 and the bigger bathroom.  Good Luck in your decision and welcome.

Hi All,

My wife and I are starting the process to purchase an R-Pod! We will either go 179 or 180... Love the dry bathroom, but also love the end kitchen. We are in our fifties, and have three little Wiener dogs... R-Pod seems perfect... We live in the Denver area and have just finished a few years of 4x4ing the mountains in our modified FJ Cruiser, and now it is time to see more of the west. So the FJ goes up for sale, and we are looking for our new tow vehicle. After years of towing a boat around I am guessing the majority of people are using pickups. Would love to use a new Pathfinder (6000lb capacity) but, my gut tells me to just get a full size pickup and be done with any worries... Decision, Decisions,

Anyways looking to read a lot on the forum, and get some good information prior to purchasing a R-Pod and tow vehicle.. That will be a change from my past behaviors!

Looking for any advise! All is welcome!! Looking forward to being a member of this new to use family!

David
