My gennie has the 30 amp RV plug built in. I thought this was normal since that was the case on the few i compared before buying. |

the cord with the pod is long enough to reach to the front of the hitch, then you can use the safety chains with a padlock to secure the generator.

One caution on this referenced dog bone. Looking at the front of the Coleman 3500i the angled plug may not fit in the generator front panel. hard to tell without being there. That's why I referenced the straight plug model. |

I just had to buy 2 new dogbones for the toy hauler I ordered. 50F/30M and 50F/15M. THe Numbers represent amp ratings and the M-Male connection (prongs) and the F-Female connection (socket). So a 30F/15M is what you need for the R-Pod. 15 amp circuit with standard 3 prong male plug end, to the R-Pod with a 30 amp socket (female) end.

You should have gotten a 25-28 foot power cord with your 178. It will connect to the side of the Pod and end in a standard 3-pin RV 30 Amp plug. As a minimum you will need the dog bone adapter to connect to the generator. You may also want an additional 25 foot 30 Amp extension cord. The links are to Amazon but similar equipment is available from Camping World.

you should use the power cord that came with the pod. May need a dog bone to connect. Dog bone is just a short adapter from pod cord to generator. Or put an RV outlet in the gennie.

I'm going to be camping on my own this summer. Mostly I'll be in school parking lots camping with travel softball families around the northwest. I bought a Coleman CG3500i Inverter Generator for power, especially A/C on hot nights. Any advice on what brand/type of extension cord I should get and amps for a 178 rPod? I know it should be at least 25 feet for noise control.
Thanks for any advice you could provide!
