I had to take a tire off to get a screw removed and the tire patched. I noticed that the lug nuts are not solid, but have the cover. I noticed a crack in one of the covers. In this regard, they are like the ones on my old Ford Escape. I had to replace lug nuts more than once when the cover fell off, exposing a smaller diameter inner nut. At least I had a wrench that would fit so I could get them off.
I probably will replace the lug nuts, but not until I need to. I have other projects that will take priority. |

If you have a new rpod check your lug nutts to see if they have a metal cover on them i was doing a check on mine before a trip and found four bad ones that just spun !!! I suggest you go to a autozone and replace them you dont want to have to try to change a spare tire and you cant get it off.
