There's a new dome on CL now for $200-sized to fit an R-pod 182/3. Good luck.

Same here, all 4 of our poles (3 adjustable, 1 collapsible are all metal.  Maybe because ours is from a 2011 model.  Was not aware they went to fiberglass.

What I have observed, if in Canada, and you buy from a stateside dealer, the import taxes etc are pretty harsh. From a private sale, I think you avoid those..

Welcome. That's a crazy price. When we bought our 2014 178 in southern Alberta we paid $550 for the R dome. We upgraded to a 2015 179 last year and kept the dome. Thankfully. Some said it wouldn't fit on the 179 but it fits nice. Good luck in finding one. They are an awesome addition.

Keep an eye on the non-pod discussion or php forums as sometimes someone may have something you need for sale.  A possibility anyway.
