Caulking going through the roof on the AC unit? There is no caulking, it a rubberized gasket of sorts. You can actually check the seal of the AC unit by dropping the bottom air box inside the POD. 6 screws.

The roof will support you. Use an extension ladder ladder with enough length to extend well past the POD roof. Pas the rails and secure it the best you can. The rails should extend far enough to make it easier to get back down. As far as the, the POD rood is one piece so you should be able to do maintenance on most it by working from the side. Good luck!  Be careful!

Sir:  Thank you for the advice.  I was thinking about something along these lines.  I don't have a real need to get on top much, but I would like to get up there at least on an annual basis to check things out.

Thanks so much for your reply..

This is what I do now, I can reach a little more than halfway, But I can also walk the whole length of the trailer. If I have to go on to the roof I put down a thin rubber mat and than a piece of plywood on top of the mat.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

Need advice from my fellow plodders on how to get on top of pod to work. Can stand on ladder and do some things at arms length but some jobs require getting on top of pod. How do you do it?  Put plywood on top?  Other?  Any advice appreciated. Thank you
