My pod came from Bankston but I got it second hand.  I have dealt with then a couple of times and can only say good things.

Welcome to the forum!  We are pretty new here ourselves - we took possession of our new 2016 RP 179 on Tuesday, and just had it out for our first overnight last night.  So far I can say I'm really in love with the 179.  One of the earlier posters mentioned not liking the dinette with the backless ottoman/wings. That is actually a good point - they are the only aspect of the 179 I don't completely love. It is reasonably comfortable sitting back on the sofa part with your legs up on the wings, but sitting on the wings themselves isn't great (so it wouldn't be great if you were trying to cluster four people around that table). As far as I can make out, that's the only negative with this unit. The kitchen is fantastic, and the bed was very comfortable.  Good luck with your shopping!

Ditto on the after sales service! It is really important. Our dealer has been great on that end. We went there when our CO detector died, one month after we bought it. I snipped it out and brought it to our service manager. She checked and they did not have that specific item, so she knew we were heading south on our Hatteras trip, so she went to a pod snipped it out and gave it to us.

As Leo said this is a model out there for everyone. Go in the ones you like, sit, lay on bed, (if kids) have them inside with you. Most important... look into ALL nooks and cranies, make sure dealer EXPLIANS and SHOWS you how all things work in every mode... shore power, battery, and propane. Good luck and happy podding. Very important, ask around from other folks who have bought trailers from this dealer, see how their after sales service is. If some question about it... run away and find another dealer who has GOOD after sales service.

We have had our 178 all of two weeks so all I can say is we like ours. We looked at all the models and thought this configuration worked for us best.
What sealed the deal was the R Dome creating more space and outside area.  Anticipate trying it out soon to see how easy/hard it is to set up. Anybody with one, feel free to jump in.

Welcome to the group! We have the 179 and love it!! We previously had a 171 and liked it a lot, but the 179 with the slide out gives us a ton more room and storage.
Good luck, everyone finds the model that fits what they need, tons of choices!!

Welcome!  We recently purchased a 178 and love it.  Looked at the 179 and thought it wonderful, loved the wide kitchen and additional storage.  We ultimately went with the 178 because I didn't care for the configuration of the dinnet with the two backless "wings".  So you can see there are many pros and cons for each model.  Happy shopping!!

We are going Wednesday or Thursday to look at 6 new R-pods being delivered to Bankston Motor Homes in Huntsville AL. We are so excited to finally have the money to buy one. I have researched R-pods for about 3 years online and now we can finally see it hands on! Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are wanting the 178 or 179 with the kitchen being at one end and bed at the other. It just seems more functional. Looking forward to alot of expertise from the experienced R-podders on this forum. Thanks in advance for your future help!
