They just hang there.. so far the only reports I remember of damage was critter induced.

Thanks for all your help and advice, I've just been an info sucker up to this point in time.
Prep for trip shows tank level indicator wires hanging loose under unit adjacent to tanks.
Should they be taped or foamed in place so not dangling for road debris to hit ?
I saw post about dust in units and saw these wires while crawling under unit with touch foam around pipes and checking for loose stuff.
