Dual batteries

I looked back and indeed, I used the NOCO box. I cut the ears off the top and sides of the boxes and tapes the boxes and tops together. I'd get a picture but it's raining like hell now. Just imagine fwunder's picture without the two bumps in the center. The gorilla tape has held up fine for two years now. Never leave home without it.

The NOCO box is the one I would have suggested. It's interior length is less than an inch greater than the battery itself. It looks like the length of the cover is the problem. I've got two generic GP24 cases in my garage and they measure very close to the NOCO box in exterior length. Apparently the ~14" length is common.

I no longer have my Pod so I can't look for myself. I had two GC2s in cases and they fit. You mention the batteries will not fit "between the bars." What does this mean. Maybe a picture would help. As I recall my Pod had the battery rack on top of the trailer frame so there was plenty of room for the ears on the case tops to overhang left and right if needed. Maybe a simple rack redesign is in order. Another approach might be to cut the ears off the cases. You don't really need them.

PS: I see Fred's pictures now. I assume it's pretty similar to yours. Looks doable. Might do something with Plexiglas sheeting to close the modified sides. Not sure about the Gorilla Tape.

The length of the cases is what is giving me the problem. They are about three inches longer than the batteries, so the extra six inches in overall length is what causes them not to fit the factory rail for them. 

I don't know the size of yours, but I have a group 29 and a group 24. I modified two battery cases by cutting down the side of one and gorilla taping them together. This worked because the total width is less than the frame on the pod. If your battery width is greater than the pod, you're going to need a more involved solution.
