Don't think it works quite as you described. Here's how mine works. Cooling: A. You want cooling and want fan working only when a/c compressor is on. B. You want cooling and want fan always on constantly regardless of whether a/c compressor is on.
Furnace: A. You want heat but use only the furnace fan. B. You want heat and want the a/c fan on constantly regardless of whether furnace is on.
A couple of additional notes:
This may be TMI but hope it helps. |

Greetings again....My second post. We are new owners of a brand new 179....we are on our first outing and are having a problem. First night out the temps dropped to about 28 degrees and we decided to test the furnace. The thermostat gives 3 selection...fan, cool, furnace. I selected furnace and set a temperature and all worked well. Night 2 was different. Selected furnace and both the air conditioner and furnace came on. Tried everything I could think of and finally killed the air by tripping the breaker, we were getting cold. We have a small space heater, but I want to test all ewquipment to make sure it works. This AM I turned the air breaker back on and same thing happened. What in the ^%#%*& did I do wrong?????
