Cool upgrade! I would love to do this with my 178. Storage must be a lot easier with these.

Thanks for sending the pic.  I was thinking about adding the hinges to the plywood covers underneath the dinette cushions.  Do you have a picture of that you can share?

Yes I have, I used I/2" plywood and self closing overlap cabinet hinges.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

I want to add some hinges to the wooden access panels underneath the dinette seats on my R178 to make things easier to retrieve.
 
Has anyone had success doing this with a particular type or size of hinge?  If so, can you share what you did?
