Several years ago we spent two months parked in an RV park on the Rogue River in Gold Beach. Did the jet boats on the Rogue which are great fun, played golf at a 9 hole course nearby, ate fried razor clams at a restaurant on the river and just enjoyed the weather. I believe there are several RV parks to choose from. We also liked a park in Tillamook. It wasn't fancy, but right next to the boat docks where they come in with Dungeness crab and cook it on the dock and we were able to buy. It's fantastic! Enjoy your trip.

We had our roundup at Seaside this past August, and would certainly suggest that again. Circle Creek RV Park is terrific. Near all you want to see. Don't miss the maritime museum in Astoria, or Fort Clatsop which is a replica of the location where Louis and Clark stayed when he came to the Oregon coast. Safe Travels.

Hi, We just came back from the Oregon Coast. We went to Nehaleum Bay State Park,it has a seven mile long sandy beach! The sand is so clean, warm on your bare feet. On one side is the Pacific Ocean the other is the Bay. This park is close to the towns of Manzanita,Cannon Beach. There is a great pizza place and mexican cafe in Manzanita. Make sure you eat at both. The mexican restraunt is the one with the patio.
Lots of rv parks but if you go to Nehaleum Bay State Park you have to make res very early as it is VERY popular. Good luck, have fun, eats lots!!!

Heading for Oregon next October. Thinking of using Cascade Locks as base for Columbia Gorge visit. Then want to see coast line top to bottom. Have lots of travel maps and booklets from tourist bureau but would really appreciate words from other visitors to area, you know, the do's and the do nots. Thanks.
