A lot of retired Canadians follow that schedule. We call them snowbirds. Winder in Florida Texas or Arizona and summer in Canada.

Congratulations! Wish we were heading out but instead we are winterizing. No time for camping in lovely September and we could have snow by the time we are ready to head out but we managed to spend 66 nights in our pod this season. Enjoy!

Congratulations Bob and Joyce !! Wish we could go with you down to Lazydays and camp out again. We had a blast. I'm sure you guys will have lots of fun and good times with the pups in the EscapePod. You gotta change your days off so we can go camping together......

Yes! Today was the day. There were some time constraints for both us and the dealer that we mutually agreed to, so a very early am departure from Cedar Key to Tampa was called for. Since we were basically pre-sold, a lot of the "jockying" was eliminated. I took a quick tour of the R Pod that he had reserved for us, (it even had the upholstry that I would have chosen, given the choice!), then he was off for a meeting with his CEO, and I spent a few enjoyable minutes with the "closer", (another very personable gentleman), wrote a bigger check than I am accustomed to, and was back on the road to CK by 10:30. Delivery is set up for mid-week, (requiring another trip to Tampa- Ugh!), but the dealership is an RV City unto itself, and the delivery training will be totally worthwhile. We plan a one night "shake down" to Manatee Springs which is just 40 minutes away, then 2 or 3 nighters as the work load allows. Very exciting times....

Remember the old joke about the woman who considered "camping" to be slow room service? Then she and I were introduced to the R Pod 177 by our neighbors and good friends "Gypsy Edie" and "Kona Joe". We both fell head over heels in love with it. We see the Pod as an escape vehicle for two and three day get-aways with our two Cocker Spaniels, and intend to visit as many Florida State Parks as possible. "Escape Pod" Hmmmmm...... Certainly someone has come up with that nickname before us! Bob and Joyce Jennifer and Baxter R Pod 177 Jeep Grand Cherokee |

Good for you two - - we have a 177 also and most of our trips are 2-4 dayers and we have a 4 year old black lab. Love getting away and having all of the comforts of home. This past May we bought a Honda Generator and that has really added to our freedom and enjoyment.

It only took one trip to Nationwide RV for a "look see" at a 171 and Mother Goose was hooked like a fish. I didn't think that she would ever get out in the woods as tents don't have bathrooms in them. Goose
