We use our R-Dome almost every other weekend, the only plastic clips I recall fit in the grommet type things which clip the Dome to the trailer.  It this is the case, I think a lot of people including myself use 2" suction cups with hooks on them.  They work great and in general pretty easy to use.  I use 3 on each side.  You have to punch a hole in the fabric in the center of the "grommet" so you can put the suction cup hook through.  If this is not what you are talking about disregard.

Dometic makes the dome.  Have you tried calling Forest River?

Does anyone know who makes the R-Dome, the clips that hold it to the side of the r-pod, are broken, and can't get any help from the dealers in Oregon.
Thanks for any help
