Thanks for the input jato. I just don’t want this preventative fix to look like a patch job if it doesn’t have to. Would you recommend the self leveling or no sag sealant? Or should I just put a coat of rubber sealant across the whole roof to make it look uniform?

I have owned a 177 since March 2011. All I have done is to clean the cracks with acetone and then cover over with dicor. Has worked well and no water intrusion. Main thing is to regularly check your roof for areas of concern, which you have, and take action.

Hey y’all!
I’m new to the forum and have owned my 2017 178 for a little under a year. Recently I was giving it a wash and noticed some hairline cracks in the roof membrane coming from the AC out towards the edge of the roof in a straight line. In Nov of last year I fixed a water leak coming from the AC unit that was caused by the unit not being tight enough to the roof. While I hope that’s not what caused these cracks I’m wondering the best (most effective/aesthetic) way of repairing this. I’ve mulled over dicor lap sealant, but would fiberglass resin look better and do the job all the same? Thoughts and suggestions welcome! Ps I have photos but have no idea how to upload them haha |
