After 14 years we finally replaced the original axle on a 177 with one just a bit beefier than the original at a truck trailer repair center.  Had 51,000+ miles on it, some washboard roads we were on last fall in Arizona really did a number on it, it was bad enough that we could only travel about 2 mph.  Best wishes on your replacement, keep us posted on your replacement.

Washboard roads are really beating up our trailer. Has anyone augmented their existing leaf suspension system with shocks or even upgraded to something like the Timbren system?

I know some of you have beast mode. I do not believe that is available aftermarket.
