You don't need a smart TV to use a firestick, or any other streaming device (e.g. : Chromecast, AppleTV, Roku, etc.). Any dumb monitor should work just fine as long as it has an HDMI input.

Any TV that has an HDMI port can be used with a Firestick. I used a Firestick with the OEM Sansui in the 2020 195, bud did replace it with a 24" (IIRC) el cheapo Insignia Fire TV for the convenience of not having to bring the Firestick along.

I have an R-Pod Model 180 and I want to replace the TV with a Smart TV so I can use a Firestick. Has anyone replaced their TV with a model that you can attach to the existing wall mount? If so what size of TV did you purchase and the make and model of the TV? Thanks in advance for any advice.
