The slide operates on the 12V battery voltage.  Doesn't use shore power.  The shore power recharges the 12V battery.

Yes you can.  Normally boondock with my 10 year old 177 and that is the way the slide is opened and closed 98% of the time.  About the only time I use electricity for it is when it is home and parked near the house as we pack it for our next trip.

Make sure your battery is good.  At rest it will read 12.72v or better.

Hi
I have a quick question. Can I operate the slideout without electricity? That is, is there enough juice in the battery to open and close the slideout if I'm camping without electricity? (If you're wondering, I bought a used 2018 179 and haven't picked it up yet -- It's 1500 miles away!)
Thanks!
