Topic: water tank replacement nowhere to be found Posted: 13 Dec 2020 at 9:14pm |
Offgrid is right about the tank itself being 30 gallons. Your Pod can carry 36 gallons of fresh water if you count the 6 gallon water heater.

Call Forest river.
We thought we were going to replace our tank several years ago. We called FR and they gave us the name of the tank manufacturer. We called them and they were very helpful and could send us a tank. I don't recall names, numbers or such. we ended up not replacing the tank-it was repaired. Vann

I think Jato i right. If you look carefully at the specs, they say that rPods hold 36 gallons of fresh water. That's not wrong. They do. But, 6 gallons of that resides in the water heater, leaving 30 usable gallons in the fresh water tank. Its marketing misdirection by FR since you don't actually have 36 gallons of usable water, unless you drain the water heater into as bucket.

I would call FR and ask where the tank came from and getting a replacement info. They know.

Actually it is probably a 30 gallon tank, pretty much standard on all pods from 2009 on up. Our 2011 177 has three 30 gallons tanks. Anyway on ebay there is a company called the Tank Depot and they have a couple tanks that may fit underneath your 151. Measurements for these two different 30 gallon tanks are L 50" W 20 " H 7" and L 42" W 26" H 7". Both are priced at $ 278.00 each. Nice thing with ebay - free shipping.

I have a 2010 Rpod 151 and the goose neck spout on the bottom of the tank with threads for the plug has cracked meaning i cant screw in the drain plug so there's no way of holding water in the tank. A repair guy said he cannot find a replacement tank anywhere, including forest river. Its a 36 gallon tank...Thoughts?
