Just this weekend was on a trip as we came out to the highway off some washboard roads the bolt came out and the discharge tube hit the road for about a 1/4 mile before I noticed it. Luckily it held in before anything truly bad happened. Bringing it to the shop next week for repair then will be securing with some clevis hangers for extra insurance!
We have only owned ours since June, yikes!

Mine was at our dealership, but they just used the same kind of weak metal straps! Both broke again!👎 See if you can get them to install the clevis hangars (with lockwashers) Our dealer saw the issue and started using them.

So I have it roped up and it is holding.
Question....it is going in for warranty repairs shortly. Would their broken hanger be covered?  Trailer new this summer

8 seasons under our belt, and no problems.

My black tank bolt came off coming back from FL this past winter. I put a couple videos together showing what I did, both the bolt replacement and pipe strap used. Haven't had any issue since and I've put quite a bit of mileage on since. This is a fix that was < $10 total. Here are the links to the videos:

Glad to hear you noticed it in time!👍🏼
We used strong bungee cords and/or long heavy-duty Zip™ ties
as backup for our clevis hangars.

The hanger on my black strap just broke. Luckily I saw it leaving my camping spot. Used rope to rehang it. I should have been proactive like Stephen said.

Our factory "installed" sewer termination straps broke twice within two months of ownership!
We followed this forum's advice an installed the "clevis hangar" fix prior to our 2800+miles trip!

They held well! (Our only suggestion is utilize lockwashers to secure the hangars! 👍🏼

Better to be proactive and reinforce it before the original ones fail (like mine did twice Angry).

We went on our first few trips with the OEM straps and never had a problem. After reading the horror stories of what could happen, I added a pair of Clevis hangars which are quite stout. The old straps are still there, so I'm hoping this works going forward.
