Pod not recognizing shore power

My kids' less than three years old WFCO just died.  One of the large ceramic resistors actually just fell right out of it. WFCO tech said that's not something that they see, but it must be due to something that they did to it!  Right.  They just pulled it out and wiggled the resistor till it fell out and then put it all back to be found later.  IMHO, it is junk and the company does not care.  Why should parts fall off of it?  Take Cartert's advice on the PD unit.  We already have one ordered.  It's a replacement for the WFCO. BTW, the WFCO unit does have a two year warranty — and perhaps something beyond which they indicated but wouldn't specify.

	Go with this one: Progressive Dynamics PD4655, I would have the WFCO repaired and use as spare.

	Thank you! It is definitely the converter. I will look to other forums for an upgrade or and replacement.

	Agree. The 120 and 12 volts systems are separate. So if the converter is broken, the battery will eventually die and all 12volt systems will be dead even if hooked up to electric service. If on the road you can leave the battery connected and get a battery charger and hook it up. That should charge the battery and keep all 12v systems operating. Keep doing that whenever the battery drops to one light on the panel and you should be fine. Then you can replace the converter at your convenience. There are many posts on upgrading to a better converter

	The 120 is not draining the battery, the 12V is not working. The 120 thru the convertor charges the 12V. If it is working. A good battery without an adequate charge source doesn't work. Fuses and CBs care about over draw not no draw.

	We checked the breakers, fuses and the battery was brand new this year. Just not sure why when plugged into shore power its draining the battery instead of utilizing the power source?

	Sure.. your 12v side is dead. The thing to find out is why? Breaker? Fuses? Bad battery?

	Just returned from a weekend trip with the 2017 R179 and while at the park we had some electrical problems. We were woken at 4am when the fridge started to alarm. The CO2 detector was next then we were dead. We were plugged into 120v post. Once we charged up the battery the next day, the panel under the fridge was giving us a ground error and the slide out would not work and the LED lights. We cleared the error and everything worked again. When we would flush the toliet the fridge would reset (I turned water pump off after that). Any idea what's going on here?! Thank you for your help!
