Yes, do put the pin back in. As long as it is out, the brakes are fully engaged and draining your battery - if the battery is connected.

When i parked the pod yesterday yhe brake cable that attaaches to the TV hitch came out of the box due to the cable stuck under jack. Can i just putit back in the little black box or is there more to it, Thanks
