Here's a few small kitchen mods I made to my 179. It's such a great kitchen layout with so much space that its easy to come up with ideas to make it more functional.
I built a small spice rack and hung it on the wall next to the fridge, along with a magnetic knife holder. Took a while to find a knife holder strong enough to work in a trailer (definitely don't want knives flying around while driving!). This is the one that I found - very strong magnet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007SPKRMG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Next was to build a shelf in the top of the upper pantry. I made the shelf half-depth so that we can still put tall items on the bottom. Finally, hung a paper towel holder and key rack on the wall next to the door. Still lots of space there - not sure what's next! My wife originally wanted the paper towel holder to be hung vertically but we realized that if we did so, it'd constantly unroll itself. II hope no one minds me posting these as I go I've gotten so much benefit out of reviewing the mods that other members have made to their Pods that I hope this might be helpful to others. I'm not always great at coming up with ideas, but am good at copying others! |
