Welcome and congratulations!
As for WD, make sure it also has sway control. I looked at the Camco Eaz Lift Recurve system, and it looks promising. The inverted WD bars look to be easy to use. It also looks like it will be quieter than some of the WD hitches out there.

Bottom line is that I do recommend sway control. Some people think it is not needed. My view is that it is better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Combining it with WD means that your ride will be smoother as the WD will help with evening out your ride and dampening porpoising. Whether you choose the Recurve, the Fastway E2, the Equal-i-zer, the Blue Ox, or the Hensley Cub is up to you.

We live in Idaho Falls. So what are your thoughts out there concerning a weight distribution system. We are traveling to Oklahoma and I'm wondering if it would make the trip easier.  Several people have suggested the new recurve system.

Hello Flash, Where are you in Idaho? I am in Hailey.
We just purchased our new 180 and within 2 weeks hit the road to Southern Utah for 14 glorious nights!
What a blast we had and have never been so comfortable camping.
Lots of help and info on this forum, which I have not spent enough time.
A fellow Hailey brother found me on here and was an incredible resource and extremely helpful in us getting things right in a hurry.
Funny how HUGE our house felt when we got home.
Happy trails and enjoy,
Jerome

Waiting for our 189 to arrive, month to go yet.

Shelf over the bed is my first planned mod. And I am also looking at something similar over the sofa.

Really like the floorplan, love the light weight concept. Love the look, they need an optional turtle in canoe decal.

Second planned mod is one of those new lightweight semi flexible solar panels for battery charging.

Our big adventure is going to start come October when we are intending to leave the snow and cold of Dakota far behind and go adventuring down into the SE States.  My stepdaughter is just W of Jacksonville NC, would like to be there for Christmas, home for May, no other destinations or time tables. Just plan on doing a little yondering.

Welcome to the board.  As for your adventures in your Pod, different people have different expectations and requirements.  Some like all the comforts of home, which can get a little crowded and complicated in a Pod, while others try to keep it simple.  If you haven't gotten a weight distribution hitch, you may want to give it some thought.  It makes towing a lot less stressful.

Welcome.  We just got a new RP189 a month ago.  I can't wait to actually take it camping. I've been going through ours just trying to learn how everything works. If you read through this website you'll learn quite a lot. And when questions come up, post them here and you'll get the answers.

My wife and I just purchased the 189 model.  We have never owned a TT before.  I like the light weight concept, and it seems to have everything we need, but you don't know what you don't know.  I'm looking for suggestions to help make this a positive experience from the beginning.  Thanks in advance.
