Mr. Froggy came home for a day
Got cleanup, then went away
In storage it will stay,
until again it's time to play

We had a great time, made some new friends and also met an R-pod owner who will be making a trip to Alaska this summer.  They purchased a Pod specifically for the trip after researching all the options available.  Great choice in my opinion! And I'm not bias at all...no, no, not me Confused

Here's some photos Reta took.  As always there where memorable moments, fun times, delightful folks and clever lyrics.  Here's some lyrics from a Gibson Brothers song that brought back some fond and not so fond memories of a misspent youth.

Just waking up is killing me
Still taste last night every time I breathe
This shirt I'm wearing it ain't mine
And it's covered in that home made wine

I got one shoe on and the other's gone
Can't figure out whose couch I'm on
I look for clues but there's no sign
Been washed away by homemade wine

Homemade wine, homemade wine
It ain't fancy, it ain't fine
But it will get me every time
Can't leave along that homemade wine

And so it went in a youth well misspent.

Have fun.. enjoy... pick clean.

Pictures for sure will be sent
and musical instrument photos of the event

But I rhyme like I play, sad to say,
Out of tune and out of time
and I can’t sing worth a dimeOuch

The festival has a good lineup of acts, Monroe Crossing, The Gibson Brothers, Special Consensus, Wayne Taylor & Appaloosa, as well as, The Tennessee MafiaJugBand with Leroy Troy.  I saw Leroy do a parity song, “Ghost Chickens in the Sky” with Marty Stuart’s band.  Marty was doubled up, on stage, with laughter and Paul Martin, his bass man, had tears rolling down his cheeks from laughing so hard.  You can see a clip of it on You tube.

Mr. Froggy can home to visit a day or two
Then it’s off to a bluegrass festival and music
on the shores of Lake Havasu

To make music and mirth by a campfire’s light
Meet friends old and new
Old school folks that know how to say
both “please and thank you”

No baggy pants with cheeks bared to all,
no bald heads with tattoos,
no sagging halter tops
or tee shirts emblazoned with words like f***-***

Monroe’s music, Lester and Scruggs,
rings on through eastern hill and dale,
but on a soft desert night the notes ring bright
over the waters so pale.
