A big YES to that one. This is one of the reasons I love my Pod so much. There is nothing in the world like sleeping inside a warm cozy RV out of the elements. It is like having the best of both worlds. ![Big smile Big smile](smileys/smiley4.gif)

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 2011 model 177. After all the camping we did last year, last pod-a-thon was at Glacier N.Pin September, it was decided to change out the 'cheap' mattress. We had to "special order" our pod last January. The special order was: no A/C, no entertainment center, no microwave. Since we normally dry camp, it wasn't important to have the frill's. AND, being used to tent or pop-up camping for over 25 years with our 3 kids, we feel like we're living like kings in this unit. Since we normally camp in the off season it is a real blessing to have a unit that we can be real cozy in while it is cold, sleet, and snowy outside.

We have 2011 172 ,we wanted a unit where you didnt have to make the bed. we also didnt want a slideout, its just another thing that can breakdown. As far as more room, I changed all my cabinet doors to roll ups, so there not in the way when open. Went to the Edmonton RV show, saw many older people looking at small trailers, most of them stuck there head in the door and said have to make up the bed, there for not interested.

Hi. Our Gastropod is a 2011 177. We like the slide-out although we have slept in it a couple of times on the street with the slide in. We got in 70 nights of camping last year between two long trips and a couple of weekends so we feel we are getting our money's worth! We have learned to travel with most of our clothing in the back of the Durango and just bring in what we need for the next day. That under-the-bed storage area holds a laundry basket with 'off-season' clothing, usually the cold weather coats and heavy sweats etc. and in front of that we have plastic crate with dry food supplies. I can't wait to get her back on the road this year. Bette

We have the 171 and do not camp much, but have enjoyed the times we have. Sleeping in the queen bed has been a problem climbing over one another in the middle of the night. Last time we camped I let my wife have the queen bed the most comfortable and I lowered the dining table and slept there. That worked out great, it helped that I did a mod to the table removing the original folding legs and replaceing them with one folding leg in front and a ledge to secure the the back of the table to the wall. It makes a much sturdier table and easier to lower and raise. David and Danette

We have a 182G and only are inside to sleep so we keep the dinette down and use the garage for our cooking. We also like to listen to music in the evening. When our older children join us the bunks work out just fine.
