While camping this past weekend, the pod (2014 178) was in full sun most of the day (in this horrendous heat wave) which means the air was on 95% of the time, along with the fridge and a fan, lights, television, etc. When I broke camp, I had to ask for help to get the electric cord to pull apart from the camper connection. One of the prongs had melted the plastic in the connector and the prong looks really burnt.
Has there been a recall on this? Wanted to check that before I start replacing things on my own dime. Also, has anyone else had this happen? What do I need to expect in repair? Thanks! |

Mark Told me of your issue... My guess is you didn't get firm tight contact on the connection. It has happened on a few pods over the years.
Since you need a new end on the power cable, and possibly on the pod too, may I suggest switching out to this system, very secure, solid contact every time. This may, or may not, be the best price/source, was just the first hit. You can install this yourself. New Connector... |

...resistance creating heat. You'll have to change the POD receptacle out and maybe even the feed line. I'm not pretty sure the plugs on the feed-line have to be the molded (sealed) type to qualify to outdoor use. Good luck Sir!
